Disneyland Day 2 - 4th of July "American Independance Day"

Once again, we were up, had breakfast and then headed over to Disneyland. When we arrived Emily saw Mary Poppins and Bert and got their autographs. D and Em then took a ride on King Arthurs Carrousal and then we headed over to toon town. The days were getting hotter and today was probably about 28 degrees.

At Toon town we went on Roger Rabbits car toon spin, we went to Minnies house and Em met Minnie, then over to Mickey's house, we did the gadgets go coaster. Had lunch in Toon town and then headed over to the parade and street party.

Today being the 4th of July was much busier than the day before and at about 4 o'clock we decided to head back to the hotel for another swim.

Disneyland - Day 1

After a good nights sleep and breakfast, I went to reception to purchase our California Pass tickets. The hotel was only 2 big blocks from the park so could easily be walked, could not believe the people waiting at the front of the hotel for the bus to take them to the park, LAZEE!!!

Walking down the main road to Disney we could already see the park and even I was excited. After we had entered, the first thing we did was head to the store to get Em an autograph book, as instructed by Tracy, it was well worth it. We had an awesome day going around Disney and because it was holiday season, there was lots to do, lots of parades.

We walked through Sleeping Beauty's Castle, we went on the Disney train twice, we went to meet some of the princesses, Cinderella, Aurora and Ariel, we went on Snow Whites scary adventure. We had lunch at the New Orleans Square and then took a ride on the Mark Twain river boat.
After much fun, we headed back to the hotel for a swim. We then ordered dinner in and from our hotel apartment we could see the fireworks at Disneyland which were awesome, I think Emily missed it as she was completely exhausted.

RTW... Planning

Okay so besides the fact that I may not have a job in a few months time, I am still planning the RTW thingy, had a few words with the travel agent, but am going to phone tomorrow and put down the deposit and then it is all systems go.

So for the last few hours tonight I have been looking at hotels on Expedia, Booking and hotwire, and started putting costs together to ensure that we try not go over budget. I found some amazing hotels for not much, but then it would be because it is out of season in places like Auckland, New Zealand and Sydney, but who cares - this is our once in a lifetime trip and we have to make the most of it.

Did I tell you that our first stop on the RTW is Disneyland, so I have found prices for a 3 day Disneyland pass and now looking at hotels in Anaheim, we will only be there for 4 nights, so don't need a car but ... how do we get from the airport to the hotel? hmmm .... next bit of research!
